Vinhos Oscar Quevedo, DOC Douro Portugal
Established in 1986, the Quevedo family estate is comprised of six separate vineyards (quintas) for a total of 112 hectares all located in the Upper Douro. This cuvée is a prime example of the high quality potential that the native white varietals of the Douro can achieve. On a citrusy backdrop there is a clear nose of tropical fruits and white pepper. The medium to full body mouthfeel is balanced with freshness and minerality leading to medium to long finish marked by limoncello flavour. No need to break open the piggybank for a moment of refined pleasure.
