2009 Vintage– Top 50 Portugal
Established in 1986, the Quevedo family estate is comprised of six separate vineyards (quintas) for a total of 112 hectares all located in the Upper Douro. For this excellent vintage, Claudia favored structure and elaborated a typical Douro wine with long aging potential. This deep rubis cuvée presents a complex nose of red and black berries mixed with spices, white pepper and french herbs. This is a medium to full body wine where dense mouthfeel and firm tannins are balanced with minerality and freshness leading to a long and fruity finish. Powerfull and well balanced this one deserves the decade(+) section of your cellar. But, will you be able to wait that long ? Another outstanding price point portuguese product.
